Steven St. Germain, DDS

A 1985 graduate of Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Dr. Steven St. Germain has been practicing general, family and cosmetic dentistry in Merrimac, Massachusetts since January 1988.

Dr. St. Germain excelled in college and pre-med but once he discovered dentistry; he knew he had found his profession. "Dentistry is an art," he says,” that has allowed me to be creative while assisting patients in achieving their perfect smile.

Dr. St. Germain takes great care to remain current in his profession - especially given the fact that dental technology is changing rapidly. Twenty years ago, dentists had limited treatment options when it came to saving teeth. However, new technologies and materials have given dentists a wide array of choices.

• "Implants, for example, are a true shift in dentistry. Instead of replacing a missing tooth with a limited-life crown or bridge, I can now place a tooth replacement implant in the bone and insert a crown over it. The result is a cleaner look that lasts years longer than a typical crown, bridge or partial denture."
