Meet Our Doctor
Steven St. Germain, DDS, Merrimac, MA
Dr. Steven St. Germain has been practicing general, family and cosmetic dentistry in Merrimac, Massachusetts, since January 1988. He is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Dentistry.
Although Dr. St. Germain originally intended to pursue a career in medicine, once he discovered dentistry he knew he had found not only his profession, but his passion.
"Dentistry is an art," he says,” that has allowed me to be creative while helping patients achieve their confident and healthy smile.
Dr. St. Germain is a lilfe-long proponent of continuing education, and takes great care to remain current in his profession - especially given the fact that dental technology is changing rapidly. Just 20 years ago, for instance, dentists had limited treatment options when it came to saving teeth. Now, constantly evolving and improving technologies and materials have given dentists a wide array of choices, and given patients a greater chance of achieving confident, healthy smiles that will last a lifetime.
"Implants, for example, are a true shift in dentistry," Dr. St. Germain says. "Instead of replacing a missing tooth with a limited-life crown or bridge, I can now place a tooth replacement implant in the bone and insert a crown over it. The result is a cleaner look that lasts years longer than a typical crown, bridge or partial denture."
Dr. St.Germain's credentials include:
- Spear Institute of Advanced Dental Education
- Certification of Implantology, NYU, New York
- International Congress of Oral Implantology
- Pride Institute, Massachusetts
- Tufts Dental School
- Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study

He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Merrimac Valley District Dental Society.
